ODU Student Recreation & Wellness Center - Works
Overview
From 2022-25, I worked as a student graphic designer for the Student Recreation and Wellness Center at Old Dominion University, where I had the opportunity to grow creatively and professionally. I was able to work alongside a talented team of fellow student designers. I helped design and develop a wide variety of promotional materials, including flyers, logos, brochures, t-shirts, posters, ad banners, social media content, and program guides. The work I produced played a key role in enhancing the center’s brand visibility, boosting engagement, and driving program participation across campus.

Takeaways
Over my three years as a graphic designer at the Student Recreation & Wellness Center, I had the privilege of being part of a supportive team and working under a fantastic supervisor who consistently encouraged creativity, growth, and attention to detail. During this time, I strengthened my skills in visual storytelling, brand consistency, and multi-platform design through projects like the annual Impact Report and ongoing promotional materials. This experience taught me how design can drive meaningful engagement and support student well-being in a tangible way.
